“Remember the days of old; consider the years of many generations; ask your father, and he will show you, your elders, and they will tell you.” Deuteronomy 32:7

Hey TD!

Last week, Daniel began taking us on a fun and enlightening journey through TD’s history, beginning with the Pre-TD Era and the TD Era.  This week, he’ll continue his tour by taking us through the Early Modern TD Era and landing at the current Modern TD Era.

We’ll then go from overview to underview as we go under the hood of TD and take a look at its infrastructure and the ministries that make TD go; ministries that you have an opportunity to participate in and shape in the upcoming year. We’ll hear from those heading up those ministry groups, as they share their vision and heart.

We’ll also hear from the team that went to serve orphans in China this summer through Bring Me Hope’s Summer Camp!

It’ll be a great time! See you Friday!

TD Fri. – Using Your Gifts in TD

TD Orientation Prezi

Hey TD!

As shared earlier this year, TD’s infrastructure is built upon the four prongs that I believe should be the grounding of every Christian’s life and our ministry here at TD – Upward, Outward, Downward, and Inward.

This Friday, you will join one of the ministry groups – Upward, Outward, Downward, Inward, ArtReach, and Cinematic – and help plan TD’s ministry for the rest of the year.

Before coming into this Friday, we’d like to ask you to review the Prezi that Judy put together for the TD Orientation that describes the prongs and ministry groups: TD Infrastructure Prezi.

In addition, here’s Friday’s message and Table of Contents that should be understood before we head into Part 2 this Friday:

TD Fri. – “On Love and Desire”

Hey TD!

Due to our shortened December schedule, we will only be having one regular Friday TD meeting this month.  This Friday, we will take another step toward rebuilding our life in Christ as I lead us from evaluating our personal infrastructure last month to  evaluating the core of who we are, in a lesson entitled, “On Love and Desire.”

Since this is a series that builds each month upon the previous months, I would highly encourage you to review last month’s teaching on “Rebuilding Our Infrastructure” .  Just click and spread it out over the next few days, making sure you are solid on the material by Friday night.

See you Friday! – Arthur

TD Small Group Prep – Begin Now!

images

Hey TD!

We will be meeting together in our small groups this Friday to discuss the rebuilding of the infrastructure of our lives … BUT, BUT, BUT (!!!) … this small group discussion will be different!  And it’s up to you to determine if it will be better!

So, what’s the difference?  The small group discussion will be driven by YOU and YOUR response to last Friday’s message.  YOU will be coming up with the specific questions and issues  to discuss and work through.  The more thorough your preparation, the better the discussion.; the better the discussion, the better the application; the better the application, the better your life in Christ.

Here’s what you’ll need to do to prepare:

“Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men.” Colossians 3:23

Let’s prepare well, TD!

3 R’s – Rebuild (Fri.), Ravi, Reminder

ravi-blackberry

Hey TD!

My family and I had an incredible time in Colorado Springs last weekend with the world’s leading Christian apologist, Ravi Zacharias, and the rest of his incredible team.  RZIM’s team of evangelists/apologists is unparalleled in the world today in their range and scope of ministry.  The more you familiarize yourself with their ministry, the sharper and more effective you’ll be … and … the more compassionate and sensitive you’ll be.  Go visit www.rzim.org and spend lots of time there!

This picture is for all you Blackberry haters who always give me a hard time for using a Blackberry!  As you can see, Ravi and I both use the same Blackberry 🙂 and have texted each other jokingly because both of us get smirked at for using it.  But we both still prefer their physical keyboard for writing!  So, as you can see, my friends, I’m in good company! Long live the Blackberry!

Anyway, this Friday, we’ll continue delving deeper into our year’s theme, Rebuild: Rehabituating Our Life in Christ.  I will lead us in a key study that will get right to the core of our lives in Christ.  This will be an essential message for those of you needing to rebuild your lives in Christ.  The message is entitled, “Rebuilding Our Infrastructure,” and I’m looking forward to sharing it with you!

And a quick reminder: Don’t forget the TD Pre-Party at 7:15 p.m.!

See you Friday! – Arthur
