TD Fri. – Using Your Gifts in TD

TD Orientation Prezi

Hey TD!

As shared earlier this year, TD’s infrastructure is built upon the four prongs that I believe should be the grounding of every Christian’s life and our ministry here at TD – Upward, Outward, Downward, and Inward.

This Friday, you will join one of the ministry groups – Upward, Outward, Downward, Inward, ArtReach, and Cinematic – and help plan TD’s ministry for the rest of the year.

Before coming into this Friday, we’d like to ask you to review the Prezi that Judy put together for the TD Orientation that describes the prongs and ministry groups: TD Infrastructure Prezi.

In addition, here’s Friday’s message and Table of Contents that should be understood before we head into Part 2 this Friday:

TD SG – “Self-Perception & Communal Flourishing” SG Study/mp3

To be memorized by end of December – Rom. 12:1-5

1Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. 2And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

3For through the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith. 4For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function, 5so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.

Hey TD,

We’ll be in our small groups this Friday to discuss Romans 12:3-5. Daniel’s teaching on that passage – “Self-Perception and Communal Flourishing” – was quite enlightening and useful in its approach.  Please download the small group study below and listen to the parts of the lecture that need refreshing before our small group time on Friday:

TD Fri. – Guess Who’s Speaking???

Daniel with Ravi

Daniel Zacharias with Ravi Zacharias

No, it’s not Ravi 😦

But we are excited to invite you to come to TD this Friday to hear his namesake! Did you know that Daniel’s middle name is Zacharias, named after Ravi?

Come as we welcome Daniel to come teach for the first time at a Friday TD meeting, as he teaches from Rom. 12:3-5, with a message titled, “Self-Perception and Communal Flourishing.”

Daniel is a gifted thinker, communicator, and serious Christ-follower who will take the baton and lead us as we continue our year’s theme, Renew: Transforming Our Life in Christ.

To get a taste of Daniel’s speaking, here’s the powerful message he gave at this year’s TD Banquet.  It’s one of the best messages I’ve heard this year:

“The Fact and the Fool’s Gold”

In preparation for our time on Friday, please think upon Rom. 12:3-5.  We should have verses 1-5 memorized by the end of this month.  Here it is:

1Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.

2And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

3For through the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith.

4For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function,

5so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.

See you Friday!

TD SG – “Metamorphosis” Videos, SG Study, and Instructions

(Nabeel Qureshi’s powerful testimony at RZIM Founders ’13 – go from 34:30 – 1:05:20. Just click on “Watch on Vimeo”.  We were there at that meeting!)

Hey TD!

As promised, Friday night’s meeting on Romans 12:2, “Metamorphosis,” was a powerful one, with some TD’ers surrendering their lives to Christ; while others who had already committed their lives to the Lord earlier in life, prayed to repair and make right their lives in Christ.  Others were just left on their knees convicted to honor Him better with their lives.  Praise the Lord for all of that.  Let us be praying for them all and for God to keep working in our midst, bringing restoration and life to those in TD.

This coming Friday’s TD meeting will be exclusively in our small groups.  Please review the videos above as needed to keep cementing the Lord’s word and His desires into your soul while you prepare your small group studies.

Please prepare your studies well! The better the preparation, the better the discussion!

TD Orientation This Fri. (Pre-TD Party @7:15)/Sights and Sounds of the TD Kick-Off

’17 – ’18 TD Kickoff – Hanging Out

’17 – ’18 TD Kickoff Worship

Hey TD!

What a great time we had at the TD Kick-Off! The energy was amazing as seen in the videos above! Daniel’s message to us, “Getting a Real Education,” (mp3) was “lights out” as one described it. Click to listen for yourself!

TD Kickoff

We aim to keep building on that energy this week as we’ll open TD’s doors and explore the nuts and bolts of TD’s various ministries and opportunities, and how you can experience life-change through them.  We’ll explore the engineering of TD, how we do what we do and why we do it the way we do.  You’ll not only hear our vision, but will have the chance to interact with it, as we have a meaningful Q & A time with various TD leaders.

But before the TD Orientation will be our Pre-TD Party at 7:15 in the TD room!  Come play games, hang out, and have some fun before TD starts!

Before you come to TD this Friday, get familiar with Daniel’s message above to put in the first building block of the year.

One of the Best Messages I’ve Heard This Year! – “The Fact and the Fool’s Gold”

Hey TD!

It was great to see a lot of you at the TD Banquet! Amidst many highlights, one that really stands out was the incredible message Daniel gave.  Have you ever watched a movie and wished it wasn’t going to end?  That’s how I feel every so often when I listen to Ravi Zacharias, RC Sproul, or Francis Chan, or someone similar.  That’s how I felt when Daniel was speaking – I was learning so much and my faith was so challenged that I didn’t want it to end.  It was gold.  It was also humbling, as I said to myself, “Wow, that was better than any message I ever preached.”

So, I commend this rich and challenging message for the working out of your salvation this summer. If we can all wrestle with it and prayerfully resolve to make appropriate adjustments in our lives, we’ll all be the better for it –
