“His heart is for the weak, and so should ours be … but it hasn’t been.”
This Saturday is Serve Our Society (SOS) Saturday and I believe it’s time for you TD’ers to step up and begin consistently and actively serving others in Jesus’ Name, as we have been made to do. Jesus said the greatest commandment is to love God fully and then to love others as we love ourselves.
In fact, His Church/His children are to take His love and love people with it, particularly those who need special measures of it – the elderly, the disabled, the widows, and the orphans. This is OUR calling, TD, not the government’s. His heart is for the weak, and so should ours be … but it hasn’t been.
Month after month, TD leaders go and serve these people in Jesus’ Name and in TD’s name and get blessed, touched, and empowered by the Lord. However, precious few TD’ers ever make it out in recent times, unlike in past TD generations. It’s time to grow up, shape up, and step up, TD. It’s time.
“It’s time to grow up, shape up, and step up, TD. It’s time.”
Please carve out time in your schedules for His work and join us on Saturday, 1/25, for one or both SOS opportunities:
So. Pasadena Care Center
10 a.m. – Noon (meet at the Hsiehs’ at 9:30 a.m.)
Hillsides Children’s Services
1 p.m. – 3 p.m. (meet at the Hsiehs’ at 12:30 p.m.)
If you come to both, we will have a quick lunch together at the Hsiehs’ in between the two.
Looking forward to seeing some of you begin the journey of obedience … and blessing.
