***Note that TD has moved to the church library across the hall during construction***
In the final Bible study of the 2018 – 2019 year, Daniel will once again lead us in an interactive, open-ended large group study, similar to last month’s study in Luke 14. This time, we will work through 1 Chronicles 13 together.
Some say that we shouldn’t fear God, that it’s not healthy nor right. Others say we should absolutely fear God, and quote the verse, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” Should we be more afraid of God than we are today? Or should we be less afraid than we are? The answer is probably most rightly answered, it depends …
This month, we will discuss the character and nature of God that prompted the Bible to record, “David was afraid of God that day …” Is there actually a right and wrong way to engage with God? Is He to be more feared or loved? Is there an Old-Testament God and a New Testament God? Has His nature changed over the ages?
We encourage you to read through 1 Chronicles 13 (and even the chapters surrounding it), make notes, and prepare to engage with God, alongside your fellow TD’ers. I’m sure God has something special in store for us.
See you at TD! – Arthur
