Video – TD’ers at Bring Me Hope Summer Camp 2017

Hey TD!

Here’s that great video our Bring Me Hope team showed at TD on Friday (thanks Megan!). I’ve been singing this song all day today (ok, maybe not singing, since I don’t speak Chinese, but definitely humming!). Study the faces of the orphaned children and consider what their lives may be like.  Look at their joy, pride, … and dignity, and then please say a word of prayer for the millions of orphaned children they represent.  Then begin praying what future part you will have in His story in the lives of some of this world’s orphaned.

“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” James 1:27

TD – Help Bring Supplies for Orphans This Friday

Image result for bring me hope

Hey TD!

Your help is needed to bring supplies for the orphaned children in China that our team will be meeting up with next week during their trip with Bring Me Hope.  They are running low on supplies.  If you can help pick up a few of these items and bring them to TD THIS Friday (or on Sunday), that would be much appreciated.

Though you aren’t going on the trip to serve, you can still serve the Lord and these kids by contributing and sending these items with our team.

Please give your items to Megan, Calvin, Josh Chang, Elissa, or Melody Tang.  The others have already left and will meet them there next week.

– Swim diapers (especially larger sizes!)
– Lice shampoo
– Pool toys
– Pipe cleaners
– Rubber bands
– Craft sticks
– Big beads
– Brown paper bags
– Hot glue sticks
– Colorful plastic straws

Thanks for your help!

Offerings – “Believe” – Jenny/Dora/Mel

Hey TD!

Offerings 3 is almost here! It’s still not too late to sign up!  Just let your small group leader know what you’ll be offering.

Here’s another offering from Offerings 2 – Jenny’s original song, “Believe,” as shared by Jenny, Dora, and Mel!

Believe (lyrics)

By Jenny Liu

Verse 1:

Do I truly believe that Your love has no bounds?

Do I truly believe I was lost but now am found?

Do I truly believe that You’ve given me more than I need?

I believe, help my unbelief!

Verse 2:

Do I truly believe that Your Word is alive and real?

Do I truly believe Your promises, despite how I feel?

Do I truly believe that You are worthy of all I can give?

I believe, help me believe

Chorus:

That You’re my shelter in the storm

You’re the lover of my soul

You’re my true and faithful friend

You are God and You’re my Lord

You’re the reason that I sing

You’re the worthy King of kings

You are more than enough for me

This I believe

Verse 3:

I choose to truly believe that this world is not my home

Yes, I truly believe that this life is not my own

I choose to truly believe that I’m loved because of the Cross

I believe, yes I believe

Bridge:

I believe that what I believe is really real (x3)

Lord I believe you

Chorus 2:

That You’re my shelter in the storm

You’re the lover of my soul

You’re my true and faithful friend

You are God and You’re my Lord

You’re the pearl of greatest price

Only You can satisfy

You are more than enough for me

I believe

Appreciating Christian Fellowship

Hey TD!

When you have busy schedules, mental and social agendas, and things/people to take care of, it’s not always easy to stop and appreciate the people God has put in your life.  It’s easy to take them for granted, label them (it’s easier that way), fit them into your grid, and miss the “real time” ways God is moving in their lives … and in ours through their friendship.

In this 3 minute podcast, Melody shares how her eyes and heart have been recently opened to appreciate you, her friends in TD, more.  And it’s made a difference in her life!  May more hearts be opened to appreciating the “real time” ways God is moving in our friends! – Arthur

What Will You Give Jesus? Day 11

Well, it’s Christmas Eve and some families are already opening their gifts.  I opened this gift to Jesus last night and couldn’t wait to share it with you!  You TD girls got to hear this live already, but we boys didn’t 😦  Well, now we can 🙂  Thanks Mel, Catherine, and Katherine!  It’s a blessing!

“Gift to Jesus” by Melody Hung, Catherine Wei, and Katherine Tao

Snowflakes falling, children smiling, a waft of apple pie
Families gathering, stars a twinkling, in the cozy night
Warm feelings fill our lonely hearts and we wonder why
Only through the blood of Jesus, we can know this light

(Chorus)
It’s Christmas time, gifts are given and received
But the greatest gift is your love for me
All that I can offer to you is my life
Jesus, this is my gift to you

Dear Lord Jesus, lying in the hay
A midst the hopelessness of this life
God of wonders beyond all that I can say
Love amazing, forever mine

Lord of all creation we have come to praise your name
God you are wonderful, so very great
Thank you fro the cross Lord, bearing all my sin and shame
You are so good to me, everyday
