TD Vlog Update #2 – TD Bringing Hope Overseas to Orphaned with Special Needs!

BMH Summer Camp Update from Anabell and Megan

Hey TD!

All summer, TD leaders continue to serve our Father overseas in the Big Country by ministering to orphans with special needs at Bring Me Hope Summer Camps. As you can see, it’s been an amazing time. Please continue to lift them up to our Good Father and pray about what you can do on your end.

Here’s a vlog update from Anabell and Megan who have been moved by the Spirit.

Hey TD!

Let’s give a shout out to  our 2019 Youth Speakers Tournament team: Anabell Xu, Benson Yu, Jason Ke, and Stefan Chu.  It was a very special year, as the team and coaches really experienced intimacy and bonding with Christ as the center of it all.  There was lots of vulnerability, openness, tears, and laughter, as the team learned to trust and share their lives with one another, warts and all.  In doing so, they learned how to keep one another accountable, while still accepting one another and all the quirks we all possess.

God grew each speaker deep down where it counts and helped them develop and deliver some excellent diverse powerful speeches on Sex & Television, Jesus is Greater Than Religion, 5 Things Every High School Graduate Should Know About the Bible, and Dear Younger Me.  Each speaker was able to reach their potential and most importtantly, meet God.

As far as the actual  CA State Youth Speakers Tournament results, we’d like to say a special congratulations to Anabell Xu for winning the tournament! Anabell is the latest in  MBCLA Youth Speakers Tournament winners that will be charged to steward her victory and entrustment well:

Hey TD!

We’ve got a great Friday planned at TD as we continue our theme, “Engage: Living Life in HD”!

First, we’re going to engage in a unique way, as we paint portraits of one another.  Not an artist? No worries, neither am I! This art project is imbecile proof. If you know how to trace, you’re good.  More than painting cool portraits, it will be a very neat time of engagement.

Second, we’re going to continue our forum on “Can You Really Know God Personally?” Last week, we had an organic, unscripted, and intimate time of exploring how some of our leaders engage with God through the Scriptures.  This week, we’ll get a raw look at how people engage with God through prayer.

Perhaps you feel like nothing happens when you pray; or you feel like you’re just talking to yourself.  You may be asking if you’re doing it right, or whether God is actually actively listening, etc.  You try to do what you’re supposed to when you pray, but you don’t really feel any different. Through our dialogue, we hope to let the Spirit lead us and minister to us in the way He wants to.

If you’re in need of engaging with God in a deeper, more personal way, you’ll want to be at TD this Friday! – Arthur

Ravi’s recap of Refresh (look who made it in the video!)

Hey TD!

Many students responded in faith and commitment at Refresh ’18, including some of our own TD’ers. Ravi’s message at Refresh ’18 brought conviction and perspective to all of us present. Even though it’s not the same as being there, you can still watch the videos above and glean from one of God’s choice servants. In our day and age, where the private life has not only gone so public, but has gone so wrong, this is a timely message calling for integrity and transparency before God. Please watch, pray, and obey. God bless you. – Arthur
