Turn on the … Ignition!

During the final few days of 2014, several of us attended the California Southern Baptist Convention’s youth conference, Ignition, whose theme was “It Matters.”  It was an energetic, lively, and meaningful time of being reminded that everything we think and do matters and affects everyone around us.

One of the big highlights was our very own Daniel, Joseph, and Alexandra giving their winning Youth Speakers Tournament speeches in front of 2,000 of their peers from all over California!  They did an amazing job speaking to and challenging California’s youth, as you’ll see over the next few weeks.

Here’s Daniel’s speech, “Spiritual Discipline That Makes a Difference,” as well as some fun (including backstage) footage!  Enjoy!

A TD Christmas!

Hey TD!

Just a quick reminder that our beloved tradition, “A TD Christmas” is this Friday!  A favorite each year and a highlight of the Christmas season for so many of us,  we will make our annual Christmas caroling rounds up and down the hallways of the convalescent home, going door to door, bringing the Christ of Christmas with us!

Afterwards, we’ll come back to my home for yummy TD classics (Sandra’s famous Christmas chili dip and pigs in a blanket, amongst others – feel free to bring food over if you’d like), fun games, a Christmas devo by Nathaniel, and a good time of fellowship.

What a great way after schools and finals to really get into the Christmas spirit!

Meet at my home at 6:30 p.m. (6 p.m. if you’d like to help make cards) and have your parents pick you up any time after 10 p.m.  See you soon! – Arthur

Hey TD!

Our annual tradition, “A TD Thanksgiving”, is upon us, and you don’t want to miss it!  Lots of faith, food, and fun are on tap as we gather with grateful hearts for all that God has generously bestowed on us.

It is a potluck, so make sure you let your small group leader know what you’ll be bringing.  Meet at my home from 6:30 – 10 p.m.  If you need my info, contact your small group leader.  We look forward to seeing you! – Arthur
